- 6 large eggs
- 3 tablespoons mayonnaise
- 1 teaspoon ranch seasoning
- 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
- 1 teaspoon finely chopped chives
- 1 tablespoon turkey bacon cooked crisp and crumbled
- 1 teaspoon pickle relish optional
- salt to taste
- black pepper to taste
- smoked paprika for garnish
Place the eggs in a saucepan and cover them with cold water. Bring the water to a gentle boil, then turn off the heat, cover the pan, and let the eggs sit until cooked through.
Transfer the eggs to an ice bath or run them under cold water until fully cooled. Peel them carefully, then slice each egg in half lengthwise.
Scoop out the yolks and place them in a bowl. Mash the yolks with mayonnaise, ranch seasoning, Dijon mustard, chives, turkey bacon, and pickle relish if using. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Spoon or pipe the filling back into the egg whites. Be generous here, a tall swirl always looks extra inviting on a platter.
Sprinkle the tops with smoked paprika and a few more chives. Chill the eggs for at least 20 minutes before serving so the flavors can settle and the filling firms up a little.
Store deviled eggs in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days. Keep them chilled until serving, and avoid letting them sit out for long periods.
These eggs are best served cold, so reheating is not recommended. If needed, assemble the filling and whites separately, then fill them shortly before serving for the freshest texture.
