Equipment

  • 1 9x13 inch baking dish
  • 1 Oven

Ingredients

  • 2 cans sliced peaches in juice or use fresh peeled peaches with a little sugar and juice
  • 1 box yellow cake mix can use white or spiced cake mix instead
  • 0.5 cup melted butter or neutral oil
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 0.5 teaspoon alcohol-free vanilla extract optional
  • 0.25 teaspoon salt
  • Chopped pecans or walnuts for topping, optional

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F and lightly grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
  • Pour the peaches and their juice evenly into the baking dish. If using alcohol-free vanilla or cinnamon, sprinkle it over the peaches.
  • Evenly sprinkle the dry cake mix over the peaches, making sure to cover every spot.
  • Drizzle the melted butter or oil as evenly as possible over the cake mix. The butter helps create that golden, delicious crust.
  • Sprinkle with cinnamon and nuts if you like extra crunch and flavor.
  • Bake for 40–45 minutes until the top is golden and the peach juices are bubbling up around the edges.
  • Let it cool slightly so the juices thicken. Serve warm, optionally with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream.

Notes

Keep leftovers covered in the refrigerator for up to 4 days. Reheat in the oven at 325°F until warm or microwave individual portions for 20-30 seconds. Enjoy chilled for a cool dessert on hot days.
